Homecoming 2014: Tennessee Traditions

October 10-11, 2014

What a great Homecoming 2014! Our Vols were victorious over the UTC Mocs, the weather cleared for the pregame festivities, and our Grand Marshal, Del Bryant, was a great addition to a successful Homecoming. The theme, Tennessee Traditions, was carried out with the Bryant name known for our beloved "Rocky Top," our Little Vols painted miniature rocks at Party in the Park, and the fountain was dyed orange once more!

Thanks to everyone who came out in the rain and participated in the Homecoming parade — both in the parade and on the sidelines watching. More than 50 Little Vols and their families braved the weather and participated in the Little Vol Walk. Unfortunately, the Little Vols at the Ballpark before the parade was cancelled due to inclement weather as were a few other Homecoming activities.

But the McClung Tower Europa on the Bull fountain ran orange all week, students held bed races, Smokey’s Howl competition, window decorations, and a little soggy Homecoming parade. Party in the Park was held in Circle Park, and the sun came out during the party and shined on the orange-and-white clad participants.

Join us next year for Homecoming 2015! We will put the date and game on the web page as soon as it is set.

Thank you for a great Homecoming week!
